The Curse of the Five-Year Plan of JJ Charest

On 8 December 2008, two years ago and two months ago now, was elected the majority Liberal government of Jean Charest. The interest in the provincial campaign was nearly zero, the Quebecois have already spent all their time and their energies in Canadian elections of October 2008 and November 4 U.S. elections 2008. It was long, tedious, arduous and dying, she felt warm. This is obviously not due solely to Jean Charest but also to other candidates for prime minister and including Mario Dumont in the lot. Apathy, the I-may-care and care less cynicism was at its height. The result, it is known, is the team that Charest has benefited and from afar. Over 40% of the population had not been passed which, if not a record of all time in Quebec, was not bode well for democracy. Nevertheless, supporters and liberals charest brainwash them fanatics and have not failed to go and record their vote and get out the vote: land, land, land they say while 700 000 ADQ and about 200 000 voters from other parties (PQ, QS, among other ) decided to stay home that day of bitter cold. Although too cold to go vote they had to say. Obviously, we can not assume that 100% of these non-voters were non-voters PLQ. One can easily say and cons with almost certainty that approximately 90% of Liberal voters went to vote and maybe about 50 000 were deprived of the vote as 700 000 have ADQ so well done to punish unfairly in my humble opinion the ADQ. However, purging and cleaning the ADQ made within his own party was very beneficial and purges are excellent to help a party better get up, it's also my opinion. In this sense, the PLQ is a bit like the Montreal Canadiens, still in the race, never very strong and can never hope to win the first overall pick because voters will punish Liberals never statistically speaking liberal parties whatsoever the PLQ or PLC. It had been widely seen in 2006 even though all cities in Canada were rightly punished more or smaller scale PLC while Montreal was elected 12 of its 13 Liberal MPs in the West Island of Montreal. When Arthur said that Montreal was a truck stalled on the 40 who got angry when you pass it, it was very fair.

So it is with a very small majority of members that Jean Charest has pointed out the two hands on the wheel. Assuming that 100% of Liberal voters in 2007 voted Liberal in 2008, only 50,000 more votes than that party was seeking. Do a little math on the real party winning the elections on December 8, 2008, absentionism party. As I said, according to my theory that is as good as another, only 10% of voters did not vote Liberal in 2008. So 10% 40% 4% take away. About 40% of ADQ voters are not going to vote, we are made to 36% -16% = 20%. Assuming that 25% of voters abstained PQ to vote: 20% -10% = 10% and give the rest to other parties QS, independent, PI and others and include in the people who will never vote anyway. So we end up with a picture quite different if all these people had been voting.

PLQ: 24% + 4% = 28%
PQ: 18% + 10% = 28%
ADQ: 9.6% + 16% = 25.6%
Q: 4.8% + 5% = 9% and 10% for
other absentionism and hardened (about 5 % of the population therefore roughly the rate of the referendum of 1995)

So maybe the PLQ is still in power, but it is definitely a minority, the PQ would also be in the same situation: it could potentially form a minority government or even with a very small majority that does not give legitimacy to a referendum by the way.

The purpose of all this maneuvering is what? Is to demonstrate that the "legitimacy" and "morality" of the five years that Jean Charest has repeated in his press briefing this week that he wanted to do until the end, it's shit or bullshit for English in the soul. I have said and shown so many times and I still do not to drool but because our collective memory as so aptly Robert Bourassa, a flower among the weeds liberal, she is 6 months . Gold JJ Charest, despite all the scandals, despite the non-holding of the public inquiry into the building, despite its own creature Bastarache, despite a quarter of a million people who signed the petition calling for his resignation said the following:

"" A government mandate is five years. (...) It is not even mid-term ... "Name me

for fun the last 2 governments in the country to stretch that from 6 to 8 months the bar four years which is the threshold of morality and even the more" clean cut "of governments. My two examples? The PQ of 2003 and PC 1993.

Sometimes we wonder if this is indeed the result of 1993 for Charest PLQ in December 2013 (because the five years it will take to complete unscrupulous careerist politician he is), he who was a key architect of the death of his former party, the Progressive Conservative Party merged with the Canadian Alliance to become the Conservative party as we know it now. For 1993, eight months is obviously too many. It was the eighth month of a government is too broke knowing in advance. Result: Two seats across the country and a catastrophic campaign of a candidate parachuted in at the last minute.

Obviously, this kind of result could never happen in Quebec nor is it happened the PLC in 2006. The liberal parties (Social Democrats) are indestructible in Eastern Canada. The only places in Western Canada where the Liberals can hope not to be wiped off the map is British Columbia once again when we do not replace popularly as waste by the NDP or Redmonton in Alberta but was not true in the last 2 elections since the Conservative party had made a clean sweep twice about Alberta is the kind of result that I envy greatly but is out of reach for a province far to the left of political spectrum than Quebec. Nevertheless, what he Johnny hopes "Jobbins I love my credit union teller in chief" Charest, after having drawn the sauce and after much indebted Quebec grease on his liberal friends that he will be reelected in December 2013?? It is normal, reasonable and intended to do so??

I am convinced that the vast majority of those who voted Liberal in 2008 not even imagined themselves as bad a scenario for their party, so imagine the rest. They most likely said in their head (again, we ignore all that is known today the rampant corruption that existed in the Liberal Party and the hundreds of crude lies and shameful that we were served in the campaign by this corrupt government into the bone marrow as "Legault is a shit-eating because he wants to increase the QST and look what we did 2 years later "or" Dumont scares old when he says that the losses of the fund deposit will be 30 billion (when the reality has shown 42 billion loss to the fund filing in 2009)): Charest will resign while in office, leaving room for succession to the party. It's not that bad because the renewal is coming even if we do not change their government, etc.. However, none of this has happened, the result: a sclerotic government, paralyzed, unable to listen to the people on almost 100% of the issues and seems more than ever, and historically more than ever out of touch and unable initiate any dialogue with its population without people angry black anger and provoke popular discontent stagnant while the lowest in the polls.

Moral of the story: The Charest government 2 hands on the wheel, his lies and marketing slogans hollow, empty and cheap wholesale prices paid by firms relations friends of the government party is your "curse" is your "spell" your curse, your punishment, your punishment for being 40% to play the hosts of irresponsible, immature and lazy asses dross you are not voting. (I include myself in there because a few days before the election, I was one of those who staunchly believed and believes still always right not to vote) Second moral: A Liberal goes (almost) always vote no matter how the party is pitiful and buried in scandal and corruption. Do not vote because you are disgusted the system is the worst solution and that even the greatest libertarian-anarchists at heart because you know now that if you want things to change, it will have to change your government and that, if you still believe the promises drunken hardcore liberals who promise change as a drummer husband promises his wife to change the operator of the Stockholm syndrome, well that's your damn problem and not just me sick with that. However, if you're a good liberal sick of stagnation and the status quo prevailing in your party, I'll give you permission and mass in addition to not voting.

And Johnny said: "I love what I do. "We do not give a f * ck sweet Johnny, did you not understand that kind of vomit parasite that kind of job, this is not the person who decides to be a private business owner determined to stay position, but the population? We are not in a dictatorship and as Johnny Boy in Egypt and Tunis, we're tired of Quebec politicians who decide everything for us what is good or bad for us and you'll know soon enough in 2013 expensive blade domestic duck.
