- Be in possession a Swiss maturity or equivalent (see list ) on the date of commencement of classes.
- Having obtained a diploma English language skills , level Cambridge Advanced Certificate (CAE) or equivalent (see list: French section / English section), the date of commencement of classes.
- Prepare a personal essay allows the admissions committee to get an idea of your argumentative abilities, your vision of the hotel and your fluid composition. Drafting instructions can be found on the official website of the school .
- Provide a Curriculum Vitae and an updated letter detailing why you wish to be admitted to the EHL.
During this process, we must not underestimate the value of all the documents you need to write yourself. They represent, at this stage, the most personal link between you and the admissions committee. On this basis, they get an idea of your personality, they try to imagine what kind of student you are. Do not hesitate to spend time and, above all, remember that they should reflect your character.
Once these documents are produced, you can start your registration process (beware deadlines!). You will first obtain a user name and password , then you can log into the portal registration and fill the various tabs. You can also submit your registration by mail but the process is slightly more expensive. Moreover, by registering online, you can complete your profile and access many times 24/24h and 7/7d.
When you have completed all sections, sent (via internet or by mail, depending on what is requested) all documents and certificates and paid the registration fee, you can submit your file to the admissions committee. They will determine if you fit the profile, both in terms of qualifications required as your experience or your personality. first selection takes place in your favor, you will be invited to a day of admission which I speak in the article cited previously. Finally, in the months following the day of admission, you will receive the final decision of the school about your applications.
In conclusion of this article, I encourage you not to lose hope in sight of the criteria I outlined. It took me two years between the decision to enter the EHL and my acceptance in the school (two months working in the kitchen, 3 months ago in England for my CAE and one year of military service spent in the accounting and management of subsistence), meaning many questioned and doubts throughout the process.
Nevertheless, it seems important that the decision is properly reflected as it commits you to at least four years or the rest of your life. But if you're motivated, everything should go well for you.
