Without going into details of the measures and decisions which will emerge from this summit, the Chinese proposal to create an international currency, I seems one of the major proposals of the summit. This proposal will certainly form the core of the reforms of IFC and the International Monetary System (IMS) in the years to come.
Obviously, the U.S. will never accept this kind proposal that obviously undermines the benefits of the "supremacy of the dollar" as an international currency that far.
The creation of an international currency is one of the main proposals of the plan Keynes 1944 (UK proposal) as part of the preparation of the SMI of the postwar period. But this is the proposal by Harry Dexter White (Secretary of State for U.S. Treasury) that has prevailed as a goal, the secretion of the IMF.
Maybe, the time of liberalism while going to and from the Western financial imperialism (especially American) is already gone. At the current pace of things, this kind of reform (if possible there) will still take years to implement and must be unconditional overwhelming support of many emerging countries and especially Europe to weigh against to American hegemony.
The trend of regulation, interventionist (measuring relaces at all is even in the USA, Europe) that the flat world of finance these days and this proposal créattion of an international currency (for the BANCOR Keynes) are signs of precursseurs resurgence of Keynesiannisme.
